Terms of Service

Last updated: October 2, 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using DepthLoop ("the Service") at depthloop.com or app.depthloop.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

DepthLoop is a browser-based tool that lets you create 3D card animations from photos and export them as videos. Image processing happens entirely in your browser — we do not upload or store your images on our servers. Optionally, you may connect your Google account to import media from Google Photos or save generated animations directly to your Google Photos library. Such transfers occur between your browser and Google's servers and are subject to Google's Terms of Service.

3. Accounts

3.1 Registration

You must provide a valid email address to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.

3.2 Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement.

3.3 Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or are used for fraudulent, abusive, or illegal activity.

4. Plans and Payments

4.1 Free and Pro Plans

The DepthLoop web app offers a Free plan and a paid Pro plan. The Free plan exports videos at up to 720p and includes a limited selection of templates and motion styles. Pro exports at full 1080p and includes all templates and motion styles. You can preview any template or motion style on either plan, but exporting a design that uses Pro features requires an active Pro plan. We may change the features included in each plan from time to time.

4.2 Pro Subscriptions

Pro is available as a monthly subscription (US$7 per month) or a yearly subscription (US$39 per year). Subscriptions are billed in advance and renew automatically at the end of each billing period until cancelled. Prices do not include taxes, which may be added at checkout depending on your location. Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy, which acts as the merchant of record. If we change the price of Pro, we will tell you in advance and the new price will apply from your next renewal.

4.3 Cancellation and Failed Payments

You can cancel your subscription at any time from the Lemon Squeezy customer portal linked in your receipt emails. After cancelling, you keep Pro until the end of the billing period you have already paid for, and you will not be charged again. If a renewal payment fails, we or Lemon Squeezy may retry it; if it cannot be collected, your account returns to the Free plan.

4.4 Earlier One-Time Purchases

If you bought the one-time unlimited export pack for the DepthLoop web app before Pro subscriptions were introduced, you keep Pro access in the web app for as long as we offer the Service, at no further charge. Purchases made inside the DepthLoop app for Canva are a separate one-time purchase that unlocks unlimited exports in that app; they do not include a Pro subscription for the web app.

4.5 Refunds

Because access is granted immediately, payments are non-refundable, including for unused time after you cancel. If a technical issue prevents you from using the paid features, contact us at support@codebits.dev within 7 days of the charge and we will review your request. This does not affect any rights you have under consumer protection laws that apply to you.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:
  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
  • Upload content that infringes third-party intellectual property rights
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or abuse the Service's infrastructure
  • Share account credentials or resell access to the Service
  • Circumvent plan limits, such as export quality or access to Pro templates and motion styles
  • Upload images depicting minors in an inappropriate manner
  • Use the Google Photos integration in violation of Google's Terms of Service or to access media you do not have rights to use

6. Intellectual Property

6.1 Our IP

The DepthLoop application, brand, and underlying technology are owned by DepthLoop and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our software without written permission.

6.2 Your Content

You retain full ownership of any images or videos you use within the Service. By using the Service, you grant us no license to your content — your files are never uploaded to our servers. If you choose to save content to Google Photos, that transfer is made directly from your browser to Google and is governed by Google's Terms of Service.

6.3 Exported Videos

Videos you export using the Service are yours to use freely, including for commercial purposes, subject to the rights you hold in the source images.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, DepthLoop shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless DepthLoop and its officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation before pursuing formal legal proceedings.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the revised Terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
